It is inevitable that by the end of the work day, when ever that is for you, you are slouched, losing any energy you had, and pretty much a drone. You finished the day...because you had to...and just want to go home.
Now you stop it. You stop it right there. You sir are a gentleman and you need your 5 o'clock Swag!
So what, your co-workers are complaining that they are tired and how long the day was and why do I do this day in and day out. Don't breath the toxins! Don't listen to their negativity. Part of being a gentleman is appreciating the smaller things in life and rejoicing in every moment you can. Now you aren't to read this and assume that I walk around with a smile plastered on my face all day (because that could not be farther from the truth). This is just to say that you should realize that end of the work day is the beginning of your day!
Too often I found myself coming home from school or work and just collapsing on the couch. Then after a week or so I realized I had no life because I wasn't letting myself have one. I lost my 5 o'clock swag. So I had to reclaim what was rightfully mine!
You need to treat the end of work as the beginning of personal time. Take the time to go get coffee or a drink and relax for a few hours. Go see friends, read a book, go to a movie, but grant yourself a few hours to decompress. There are a few reasons why this is so important.
1. To maintain sanity, you need a little diversion
2. If you only go to work and home, what do you do have to talk about in a conversation? Nothing...exactly...and surprise, surprise no one wants to hear all about your work day all the time.
3. Who doesn't like a little R&R?
We all have days when we have to bring work home with us, or there is a pressing deadline, or some other reason why we can't enjoy our after 5 life. But savoring the days when we can makes it all the more sweet.

that was great..
Thanks Jane! I am glad you enjoyed.
I like hitting the gym after work. Better than in the morning, and it builds up an appetite for dinner. After all, I've been snacking all afternoon.
